SHAPING PLACES, PEOPLE, AND COMMUNITY

ADG is committed to supporting our community and using the skills and opportunity afforded to us to make a positive impact.

OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As an employee-owned company, our people are our most valuable asset. We are passionate in creating opportunities which help break the cycle of poverty, abuse and mental health in children and disadvantaged youths. Using our collective thinking and skills to improve our community, people, and industry within a positive way. We want to give back. Through collaborating with our industry, government, social infrastructure partners and our people we develop strategies and initiatives to support this core purpose and help bring forward real change, through:

> Sponsorship of or monetary donations to local charities, sports clubs, societies, youth groups, community centres.

> Support local charities etc. by donating time i.e., staff participation in volunteering days.

> Supporting the surrounding community by employing local people.

RECONCILIATION JOURNEY

In December 2023, Reconciliation Australia welcomed ADG Engineers (Aust) Pty Ltd (ADG) to the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program with the formal endorsement of its inaugural Reflect RAP. ADG joins a network of more than 2,500 corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations that have made a formal commitment to reconciliation through the RAP program.

The RAP program’s strength is its framework of relationships, respect, and opportunities, allowing ADG to strategically set its reconciliation commitments in line with its own business
objectives, for the most effective outcomes.

These outcomes contribute towards the five dimensions of reconciliation: race relations; equality and equity; institutional integrity; unity; and historical acceptance. It is critical to not only uphold all five dimensions of reconciliation, but also
increase awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, knowledge, and leadership across all sectors of Australian society.

The Reflect RAP enables ADG to deepen its understanding of its sphere of influence and the unique contribution it can make to lead progress across the five dimensions. Getting these first steps right will ensure the sustainability of future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives, and provide meaningful impact toward Australia’s reconciliation journey.

With the endeavour to continually develop our reconciliation commitments, ADG plans to address the supply of the required professional services skills and knowledge from graduating First Nations Australian engineers. ADG is addressing this issue and the potential for employment nationally through ongoing industry engagement and graduate program support.
